This Saturday February 27th, the board of advisors will meet to move the strategic planning process one more step closer to finishing our 5 year plan. This planning will be concentrating in key strategic areas such as defining and ensuring a solid presence of the foundation in our community. At this meeting we will define the strategic work areas that will make this possible, who and how this work will be carried out and the strategies for engaging the broader Northfield community as active participants in this process. Stay tuned for more updates.

At our recent grants making ceremony, we had the pleasure of welcoming back our recently departed board member Donna Rae Scheffert a management leadership consultant and well known leader in community leadership development holding multiple positions in this sector.

Donna Rae also writes for the Washington Times on communities and creative solutions to common problems. Her recent contribution includes the Northfield Area Foundation’s recent grants and a very interesting set of facts and points that puts our local work into a community-of-communities perspective.
